I don't care who you support, if you are reading this, we are probably on the same side. Am I the only one who can't wait for the primaries to be over, so we can be on the same team again?
In this, most heated of all months for Democratic infighting, let's not lose sight of the important things: peace, education, health care, fair rights for workers, and oversight of corporate greed.
So while you sit and whistle Dixie with your money and your power.
I can hear the flowers a-growin in the rubble of the towers.
I hear leaders quit their lying
I hear babies quit their crying.
I hear soldiers quit their dying, one and all.
Let's remember what we are fighting for, and what we are fighting against.
So now as I'm leavin'
I'm weary as Hell
The confusion I'm feelin'
Ain't no tongue can tell
The words fill my head
And fall to the floor
If God's on our side
He'll stop the next war.
Remember, in two months this will be over, and we will all be on the same side again. I think that is something worth remembering, and worth being reminded about, because we all have our candidate, but most of us will have to get behind someone who is NOT our candidate, and it will be easier if you don't hate your fellow Democrat.
